Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies) by N-City Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies) by N-City
Hotaru no Haka (火垂るの墓) translated "Grave of the Fireflies" is Studio Ghibli animated film which was written and directed by Isao Takahata. The film is based on Akiyuki Nosaka's novel with same name. Grave of Fireflies was released in Japan the same year as My Neighbor Totoro in 1988. This film was one of Studio Ghibli's master piece, the dramatic element combined with multiple reflective layers during WW2 in Japan made Grave of the Fireflies becoming deeper emotional story.
Even I'm not a big fan of war film, Grave of the Fireflies has something which drove me into making this fan-art.
